We started their engagement shoot around the historic squares of downtown Savannah.  Kara and Gery brought along their sweetest dog, Maddie, and we had  a great time walking and talking, not to mention taking a few photos along the way.   Next our engagement session got a little bit more adventurous as we made our way to some old railroad tracks, and railroad car.  The railroad tracks are in the middle of marsh land, and some wildlife decided to greet us.  On our way back to the car, a huge snake about 6ft long stood in our way.  After some “gentle coaxing” by Gery and Rich, it finally moved and slithered off back into the marsh.  We’ll just say, we left in a hurry! hehe

Hopefully Kara and Gery’s wedding day will not be so adventurous!

Meet Kara and Gery!

Petrina and James came down from Atlanta to spend the day with me, and to use Savannah’s beautiful backdrop for their engagement pictures. To get to know each other better, we decided to walk throughout downtown Savannah and explore the sites and some antique stores. As we made our way around the historic district, Petrina and James showed their devout and caring love towards one another. It was so beautiful to be around!

The afternoon was very much about, just having fun and letting Petrina and James be themselves.

I was honored to have the opportunity to capture what you mean to each other, and see your love through my lens!

Meet Petrina and James!

Rachel and Glenn met while attending school together getting their degrees in pharmacy.  Rachel and Glenn had mutual friends, so it didn’t take long for them to become good friends themselves.  That relationship built on friendship, blossomed into something serious in time. Now they enjoy a love, that reminds them every day, that they don’t want to live their lives apart from one another.

Rachel and Glenn love to try new things, and more than that love to try new things with each other.  One thing they always wanted to do together was try para-sailing, so one weekend Glenn took Rachel para-sailing, and while the two of them where laughing and having a great time just being with one another, Glenn asked Rachel to spend the rest of her life with him.  Of course she said YES!!! SOO COOL!

Rachel and Glenn are very laid back and easy going people. They love to laugh and have a good time, and are just plain comfortable with each other.  Glenn absolutely adores Rachel, and it showed so much throughout our engagement session.

Cannot wait for the big day in less than two weeks!!!

Meet Rachel and Glenn!

The Clyburn Farm is owned by Virginia’s father and has been in her family for six generations, over two hundred years!!  It is located in rural South Carolina, and spans a continuous six mile wide radius!  The farm was founded by Virginia’s great, great, great, great Grandfather who immigrated from Scotland in the 1800′s.

On this historical and amazing piece of land is where Virginia and Charles fell in love with one another.  Charles and Virginia’s parents have been friends with one another since Charles and Virginia were young.  Not until years later did these two finally meet.  From their first date Charles and Virginia knew they were meant for each other.  They are two of the most laid back and fun people you will ever meet.  The type of couple that can do anything together and have just a great time doing it cause all that matters to them is being with one another.  There is so much happiness and love between Virginia and Charles, it truly shined all day.  We could not have had a better time capturing their happiness in one of the most beautiful, peaceful and historic places I have ever been.

Thank you to Virginia, Charles and Virginia’s family for the true southern hospitality!  (Virginia’s mom even made us the most amazing homemade grits that I have ever had!)

Meet Virginia and Charles!

Spring rang in with a glorious day, and I couldn’t have been happier to spend it outside and doing what I love.

Erica and Louis came down from New York, and as many of you know its been a blistering winter for anyone in the northeast. They couldn’t have been happier to see the sun and to feel its warmth. We spent the beautiful day walking through the historic district of Savannah, sharing some laughs, and capturing a few romantic images of the two.  Erica ans Louis are such a great couple, we got along so well and had so much in common, that it felt like we have known each other for years!

Erica and Louis have the best engagement story!  Louis planned a trip for the two of them, and told Erica it was just a little trip to the Hamptons.  He made up all these details and kept his big secret for two months!  When they got to the airport, Louis finally told her the truth, that they were going to PARIS!  Needless to say Erica was definitely surprised, and of course ecstatic!  She told me she could not stop smiling for hours!  Once they got to France, Louis waited a day to pop the big question, just to throw her off a little. When the timing was right, he then finally asked, and of course she said YES!

These two are not only a beautiful couple, but crazy in love, and a whole lot of fun!

Meet Erica and Louis!

Bianca and Ramon met while attending school at Florida A&M. Through mutual friends, this beautiful couple was introduced, became friends, and later started dating. Though it took them a little while to actually begin their relationship, once they became exclusive they have never looked back.

Bianca and Ramon are an amazing couple, a couple filled with so much spirit and passion. The interaction we saw while with them, was truly a site to behold and definitely fun to capture. When Ramon is holding Bianca you feel as through they have just started their relationship. Their energy and love just beams! It’s always a pleasure working with couples like this… I am a sucker for love, and these two exude it!

Meet Bianca and Ramon!

Off course, this was the weekend Lindsey and Jonathan traveled down here (Jonathan from Connecticut) for their engagement session.  After our plan A and plan B were ruled out by Mother Nature, we moved on to plan C. Our plan C was an early morning shoot (a sunrise shoot) on Monday, which we decided to shoot out on the beach.

Since the rain was finally clearing out, we expected a bright beautiful sunrise.  Well as we woke up that morning, all that could be seen was a very very dense fog.  No sunrise, not even close. What we did find though, was a silent beautiful beach all to ourselves.  It could not have been more romantic!

There is just something so simple and majestic about heavy fog, I have always loved shooting in it.  Lindsey and Jonathan were great sports, and trusted me when I said that I promised that these will be pretty too!

Lindsey and Jonathan have a relationship that is fun, beautiful, and true.  You can tell that it’s one of those relationships that seems easy, and just works.

You two are perfect for each other, and I can not wait to witness you guys tie the knot in February!

Meet Lindsay and Jonathan!

Cat and Adam are both “Gators” as they both graduated from The University of Florida. So as you can imagine, this weekend is a big one for Gator football, with the SEC Championship game against Alabama.

While attending The University of Florida, as fate would have it, Adam sat behind Cat in class. Adoring Cat from afar, Adam finally worked up the nerve and eventually asked her out…. a couple times. When Cat finally said yes, these two started a beautiful relationship and have been inseparable since! You two are such a amazing couple to be around. We had such a great time sharing stories, smiles, and laughs.

With the fact the Adam proposed to Cat in Savannah, this city holds a special place in their hearts. Cat knew exactly where she wanted their engagement session to be captured…  and she wanted to start it off at one of her favorite Savannah stores, Paris Market.  As we strolled through the eclectic mix of worldly artifacts, we captured some affectionate and fun moments.  We then decided on a brisk walk through the historic downtown district. As it started to get chilly out, we decided to move the session to the beautiful, new Bohemian Hotel (where they were staying).

I can’t wait for your Big Day next year!
