Rich and I decided it would be fun to take part and shoot some images for fun. Not to mention meet some new people along the way!

Besides being a SUPER hot Savannah day, we had a lot of fun during the walk. We shared a bunch of smiles and laughs throughout the walk, and are so glad we decided to do it.

It was fun to shoot in a no pressure setting. With this in mind, we even decided to take along some older camera bodies we don’t usually shoot with anymore, and put them through some paces again. hehehe

The Holiday season is the perfect time to remember the things you hold most dear. For us that starts with family and friends.

We had such a great time getting back to basics and shooting film. It’s been a while, and I’m so glad we did it!

Here are a couple quick pics we liked, from our outing (Sorry for the low rez scans)!

April Joy so wanted a backyard party, you know like the ones you had as a kid, and a backyard party is what she got. Slip-n-Slides, water guns/balloons, pinatas, and even a little beach area were set up for the party. So much fun! You couldn’t help but have a good time.

I hope your day was everything you wanted it to be and more. You deserve it!

Your cake was not only amazing to look at but it tasted like heaven. Everyone was asking about it! Sheri you are so talented!

Nerves were high for the day as rain had spread throughout Savannah for the past couple days. Though the old saying is that it is lucky for a couple to wed in the rain, couples always have their special day drawn out in their heads, and rain never plays a role.

Well, rain didn’t play a role in this day either, as Candace and Jeff celebrated their love for one another under a glorious sky and were blessed with an amazing sunset as well.

Candace and Jeff chose Old Ft Jackson as their ceremony location and it did not disappoint. The details were laid out with great care and family and friends all joined to share in Candace and Jeff’s special day. Many memorable moments will be remembered of this day but none more than the affection Candace and Jeff showed for each other in every glance and touch.

I wish the absolute best for you guys, you make a beautiful couple!

Meet Candace and Jeff!

This was such a cool opportunity, as I would be able to be a part of something that was so grand in scale. The walk was composed of many cities and counties throughout the world. Hobbyists, students, professionals, and alike would get together on one day (August 23, 2008) and walk their cities doing the thing they loved most… Photography.

As Tropical Storm Fay has been looming around us for a while, there was threat of cancellation. In fact, there were some locations in Florida that were canceled due to her devastation. Lucky for us though, the weather was just beautiful. Some troopers from Florida even took the opportunity and drove on up to Savannah to join us in our walk.

It was great to meet so many people that shared my same interest/love for photography. I also enjoyed the release I felt doing some relaxed street shooting.

We had a great turnout and a great time was had by all!!

OldField is such an amazing location with tons of Lowcountry charm. There are so many areas of this club to spark creativity (the serene setting doesn’t hurt either )
