Last week we had the opportunity to spend some time in Helen, GA. A gorgeous little town hidden in North Georgia…
Helen is such a beautiful town, and though it would have been great to vacation, one of us was actually working. Rich was asked by the amazing (and super fun) guys of TriCoast Photography to help teach with them at Georgia School, an annual conference held since 1967, and operated by the Georgia Professional Photographers Association. Georgia School is a week long class where regional photographers come to learn new skills, both creative and technical. Classes are kept small, as to insure a more one on one style of teaching. The days are long and heavily packed with a ton of material.
Mike and Cody of TriCoast Photography, are the gurus of off camera lighting, and for you gear heads, more specifically TTL with off camera lighting. Mike and Cody being both Canon shooters brought Rich in as their go to Nikon guy. As many of you already know, and have witnessed first hand, Rich is very much the technical one out of the two of us, so this was his “Cloud 9″ as he was completely in his element teaching and doing what he loves and knows so well!
We had an absolute blast, and we got to see some old friends in Mike and Cody (our wedding photographers) and make many new friends. Rich was honored to be able to help out other photographers, and of course be able to geek out and talk gear and technical techniques!
It was great meeting all of you, and we look forward to next time!
A special thank you to Peter Quinn for the pics we have to share below.![]()
