Archive for August, 2008

Catherine and Mark have an unique story to tell, being that they actually married on August 12th in Rome, Italy. A wedding in Italy is pretty much a fairy tale for any bride… and looking through some their wedding day images, the ceremony was just breathtaking…

Though the couple had their ceremony abroad, they celebrated locally with family and friends yesterday at Spring Island’s River House. Spring Island is an amazing location, with many backdrops and scenes to shoot. Be it the Old Tabby Ruins or the splendor of the marsh view, the location couldn’t have been more grand. I was very excited and wanted to take full advantage.

Catherine and Mark were just beautiful together. They were relaxed, confident, and just an all around joy to be around. With their smiles and subtle whispers to one another, their love was ever so apparent, which always makes my job easier. It is always a pleasure to work with couples like this. :)

It was a honor meeting and working with you guys… may you two find happiness in everything you attempt and hold dear.

On to a few shots from the day…

Meet Catherine and Mark!

The rains have finally subsided and it couldn’t be a moment sooner. Tropical Storm Fay has finally past. YAY!! :)

As everyone knows there is a lush beauty and serene feeling after a storm. The grass is always greener, the skies always bluer. This was our setting today at the Ford Plantation, where I had the pleasure of meeting with Jen and Mitch for their engagement shoot.

Jen and Mitch were such an amazing couple to work with. The camera fell in love with their subtle candid moments and with the emotion they showed for one another, once they held each other close.

I had such a great time with you guys this morning and look forward to being part of your big day later this year!! :D

On to some pics…

I really haven’t had the time to go out and shoot some fine art “street” shots lately, so when I read about Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk, I just had to take the opportunity to do just that.

This was such a cool opportunity, as I would be able to be a part of something that was so grand in scale. The walk was composed of many cities and counties throughout the world. Hobbyists, students, professionals, and alike would get together on one day (August 23, 2008) and walk their cities doing the thing they loved most… Photography. :)

As Tropical Storm Fay has been looming around us for a while, there was threat of cancellation. In fact, there were some locations in Florida that were canceled due to her devastation. Lucky for us though, the weather was just beautiful. Some troopers from Florida even took the opportunity and drove on up to Savannah to join us in our walk.

It was great to meet so many people that shared my same interest/love for photography. I also enjoyed the release I felt doing some relaxed street shooting.

We had a great turnout and a great time was had by all!! :)

Here are a couple shots from the day…

Getting married on the date of 08.08.08 couldn’t have meant more to this couple. The beauty of this date, is that is resembles new beginnings. An act that was the perfect portrayal of what happened today.

Autumn and Tim vowed their love and faithfulness to each other creating their new beginning with one another.

You would have thought that the rains would have disheartened the bride, groom, family, and friends but honestly, the exact opposite came to light. The rains were seen as a blessing and an amazing way to start the celebration of new beginnings and Autumn and Tims marriage.

Autumn and Tims story dates back several years from when Tim first started courting Autumn. Fast forward a few years to see their commitment to each other still standing true and celebrated with a beautiful ceremony held at Bethesda Home for Boys.

The love these two have for one another can never be questioned and their commitment to one another will never be broken. With their true love, family and friends Autumn and Tim will never want. It was just touching to view, not to mention be a part of such a celebration of faith and commitment.

I wish you much luck in the future. May your hearts always stay strong.

Have fun in Mexico!!!

Now on to some pics of the day… :)

This was truly one of those days that everything goes right. From prep to exit, Heather and Brian’s day couldn’t have been any more perfect.

The day started at the White Bluff United Methodist Church, where Heather and Brian expressed their vows of commitment to one another. This setting hosted what was the most amazing showcase of stained glass workmanship. So beautiful! :) I can totally see why this location as held as part of their special day.

As the vows were passed and the ceremony concluded, the party moved on to the Wilmington Island Yacht Club, where they were greeted with elegant decor, blue skies, and an incredible location. As if that wasn’t enough, to top off the evening, Heather and Brian were given the most radiant sunset. One you seem to only find when your not looking.

The party held strong through the night, as family and friends all celebrated Heather and Brian’s marriage to one another. Everyone seemed on get on the dance floor at least once, and smiles were always found throughout.

Heather and Brian, are very lucky to have found true love in one another, it is such a special thing to witness and to be a part of. I wish you both great luck in the future and know that together you will achieve everything you dream.

Have fun in the Grand Caymans!
