Jennifer (Bridal Session)

This weekend was Jennifer’s Bridal Session!

Jennifer came down from Charlotte, NC looking for a location for her bridals, that would be different than her wedding day. As the backdrop for Jennifer’s bridals, we choose the beautiful  Belfair Plantation, which has a great mixture of the Lowcountry charm and majestic beauty.  Though the weather was chilly, Jennifer was a serious trooper…  Glowing with the happiness of wearing her wedding dress, it seemed like she didn’t even notice the cold weather! Jennifer honestly could not stop smiling, and what a gorgeous and completely contagious smile she has! :)

Jennifer is not only one of the sweetest and nicest people you will ever meet, but she is completely laid back and up for anything.  The session flew by cause we were having so much fun, sharing so many laughs and smiles!  I can not wait for her big day in a little over a month when we take part in Jennifer’s Big Day, marring the love of her life, Micah!

We had a blast with you girl!

Lindsey and Jonathan (Wedding)

What a whirlwind of a weekend weather wise… Not only did it snow down here (Yes, snow in Savannah!!) but the following day, the sun and gorgeous blue skies graced us for Lindsey and Jonathan’s wedding day. Just perfect weather after a day filled with rain and snow!

You might remember Lindsey and Jonathan from their romantic beach engagement session…

They first met about 6 years ago on their first class of college.  They were both architecture majors at Georgia Tech.  Lindsey and Jonathan became instant friends and were even teamed up to do their very first project together.  Which Lindsey told me, they flirted the whole time throughout the project.  Though they were great friends throughout college, Jonathan had to wait for Lindsey, as she was already in a relationship.  It took a couple years but Lindsey finally came to her senses, and finally started dating Jonathan.  The two of them continued their education and both received their master’s degrees together from Georgia Tech.

Their love has grown throughout the years and has even endured distance.  Jonathan lives up in Connecticut, and Lindsey is down here in Atlanta.  Their relationship is one that is fun, beautiful and true,  you can see that it is one of those relationships that seems easy and just works.  These two are perfect for each other, and it was amazing to witness their love yesterday!

Lindsey and Jonathan tied the knot at the beautiful and simple Bethesda Whitfield Chapel.  Then celebrated at the historic Vic’s on the River.

Have an amazing time in Rome and on your Mediterranean cruise!  (I am so jealous!!!)

April Joy and Cody (Wedding)

This weekend, I had the honor of sharing in the most special day of one of my best friends,  April Joy. You may remember her from her recent engagement session…

Well yesterday, she got to marry the love of her life, Cody.  Cody could not be more perfect for my April Joy. Not only does he put up with her and her silliness, he makes her smile, and they truly bring out the best in one another.

This wedding was a bit different for me, being IN the wedding, I had to lay down the camera while Rich and Megan shot the wedding without me.  Though this was hard, I knew that Rich and Megan would do an amazing job capturing April Joy and Cody’s wedding. And boy did they!

The day was amazing! And though it was a bit chilly out, everything was absolutely perfect! April Joy glowed and Cody could not stop smiling at her.  I love you two, and thank you for letting us be two big parts of your Big Day!

A few Thank You’s to some very special people:

- Kevin Banker of Banker Optical Media. Kevin assisted Rich yesterday, and he could not have done it without you, Thank you so much!

- Vicki of Kewi Fleur. Vicki supplied the amazing bouquet and boutonnière for April Joy and Cody.  Vicki, you made her vision complete.

- Dorene of Unveiled Bridal Designs. Dorene supplied April Joy with the most beautiful bavolet veil and magnolia flower head piece.  I swear she is never going to take off this veil!  It was the perfect accessory for her look!

Bianca and Ramon (Engagement)

The rains and winter chill wore off, this weekend, opening up such a gorgeous day!  It was this day, that we were lucky enough to meet up with Bianca and Ramon for their engagement shoot…

Bianca and Ramon met while attending school at Florida A&M. Through mutual friends, this beautiful couple was introduced, became friends, and later started dating. Though it took them a little while to actually begin their relationship, once they became exclusive they have never looked back.

Bianca and Ramon are an amazing couple, a couple filled with so much spirit and passion. The interaction we saw while with them, was truly a site to behold and definitely fun to capture. When Ramon is holding Bianca you feel as through they have just started their relationship. Their energy and love just beams! It’s always a pleasure working with couples like this… I am a sucker for love, and these two exude it! :)

With this year coming to a close tonight, I wanted to take a couple moments to thank everyone that has made it such a successful 2009!

Thank you to all of our amazing past/present/future brides and grooms! Thank you for trusting us when we lead you into a very dark and gross back alley, and tell you that it will be a great photo!  Thank you for your trust in us, to capture your unique day in our way and style.  And thank you for letting us party with you and at each wedding, making us feel like part of the family.  This year would not have existed with out you!

This year we added a new member to the “Allison Reisz Photography” team, our associate Megan. As many of you already know, Megan is an amazing talent, and has been such a big help to us in capturing your day. We feel she is the perfect fit and we could not be happier to have her on board! We are so happy to have her on our team, and can’t wait to see the amazing work she will produce in the upcoming year!

Lastly, I wanted to end this with thanking my husband Rich.  As all of you know, Rich is more then just a husband to me, he is my partner and the second half to this business.  Rich is behind the scenes a lot of the time, and does not get the recognition he deserves.  Not only is Rich the amazing photographer that many of you have witnessed but he is a very strong pillar to this business and to myself.   We are truly a team, so thank you Rich for being more to me then just a husband.

Thank you again, to all of you, for making 2009, a successful and an amazing year!  We cannot wait till next year, and look forward to sharing in all of the love and memories of our new bride and grooms! :)

Melissa Shelby - I just saw one of your weddings on the Hot Pink Brides blog and thought immediately it must be from Savannah. Checked out your site and it was! I recently had the opportunity to visit your city and assist a friend with a pre-Christmas wedding. What a beautiful place! I have zero opportunity to photograph beautiful architechture in Alaska and absolutely love the south and southern weddings. Looking forward to following your weddings on your blog!
